Euchtman House
Located in Baltimore County, the 1939 Euchtman House is one of two Frank Lloyd Wright-designed homes in Maryland. The compact Usonian has been carefully updated with attention to Wright’s design principles.
The restoration began in 2018 with a small kitchen renovation. Relocating the refrigerator to a cypress-lined corridor created more usable space and improved circulation. New cypress cabinetry and black stone counters match the home’s existing materials. Open shelving draws from the horizontal lines and cantilevered forms found throughout the house.

Other updates were minimal. A 5-by-6-foot primary bathroom was refreshed with concrete sinks. The powder room received new fixtures. Each change was considered and aligned with the home’s palette and proportions.
The result is a restoration that balances transformation and preservation and supports daily modern living.
