Pikesville Armory Redevelopment

The Historic Pikesville Armory's 14-acre site, once home to Maryland’s National Guard, will be transformed into a new civic anchor for the Pikesville community. The approved plan reimagines the campus as a cultural, recreational, and environmental hub centered around public life and shared use. At its heart is the reuse of the original 1903 armory building, which will be restored and adapted to support a range of arts, education, and wellness programming. New outdoor amenities include flexible event lawns, shaded gathering spaces, fitness and play areas, and improved ecological infrastructure. The vision reflects a decade of community advocacy and planning by the Pikesville Armory Foundation and its partners.
