The Ignite Hub is a compact classroom and demonstration space located in the Mannakee Building on the Rockville Campus of Montgomery College. The project transforms two former classrooms into a flexible environment that supports coding instruction and promotes technical literacy for students from the surrounding community. Although modest in size and located in an otherwise nondescript building, a simple diagram and selective use of glass, lighting, and color was used to create a dynamic space that highlights and supports the technology being used by the students.  Glazing films on the exterior windows create colorful supergraphics  to announce the excitement of the program to passersby.  This project was an important collaboration between Montgomery College, Montgomery County, and local industry.
