The BIPOC (Black/African American, Indigenous, and/or People of Color) Student Fellowship is designed to foster a more diverse and inclusive profession by supporting students from historically underrepresented backgrounds in architecture through mentorship, professional development, and paid, hands-on experience. Diversity and inclusion are foundational to the studio’s work and to the belief that meaningful architecture is strengthened by a wide range of perspectives and lived experiences.

Fellowship recipients are awarded a paid internship and stipend, along with structured mentorship and professional development opportunities that support long-term career growth and the pursuit of architectural licensure during and after the Fellowship term.

Through a six-month engagement, Z|S BIPOC Student Fellows can expect a variety of experiences that broaden professional and design skills, including project-based involvement, site visits, networking opportunities, AXP experience, and active mentorship. Past Fellows have gone on to become valued members of our profession and our team. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2026.
