Architecture Without Architects

Recommended reading this month is a book by Bernard Rudofsky named Architecture Without Architects.  The book is a wonderful illustration of architecture created by peoples all over the globe throughout time.  The case studies show just how much regionalism, response to environment, culture, and artistic styles affect the building of architecture in the absence of an "architect."  The pictures are magical examples of how indigenous peoples have dealt with building.
