Ziger/Snead Architects Receives Multiple Awards at 2016 AIA Baltimore Excellence in Design Awards Celebration

AIA Baltimore recognized multiple Ziger/Snead projects at the 2016 53rd Annual Excellence in Design Awards Celebration, including the Baltimore Museum of Art Major Renovations winning the Grand Design Award. The Grand Design Award is given to a built project judged to be exceptional and is the highest honor. The celebration took place on Friday, October 7 at B-More Kitchen.

The following projects were recognized:

The Centre - HONORABLE MENTION
Friends School of Baltimore Performing & Visual Arts Center – DESIGN AWARD
The Center for Parks & People at Auchentoroly Terrace – DESIGN AWARD
Baltimore Museum of Art Major Renovations – GRAND DESIGN AWARD

The awards were determined by the 2016 Excellence in Design Awards Jury, which comprised of AIA members from Austin, TX.

AIA Baltimore is a Maryland chapter of the American Institute of Architects. AIABaltimore offers education, government advocacy, community redevelopment, and public outreach to support the architecture profession and building industry.
