Ziger/Snead Architects, a design-focused architecture firm based in Baltimore, promotes four team members to Associate. The new leadership positions continue the firm’s growth, recognizing these individuals for their “dedication, commitment, and quality of service,” says Steve Ziger.
Matthew Rouse, AIA, LEED AP has been a Designer at Ziger/Snead since 2010, and joins the Associate team as a newly licensed Architect. His understanding of environment, creative adaptation of sustainable technologies, and appreciation for craft, focus and inform his design solutions. Matt’s dedication to user functionality makes him the ideal point of contact for many of Ziger/Snead’s cultural and residential clients, including the Baltimore Design School, Historic Ships of Baltimore, and the Maryland Institute College of Art. Matt is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where he earned his Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
Katherine LePage, AIA joined Ziger/Snead as a Designer in 2011 and became a licensed Architect in 2013. She is recognized for her active community engagement and problem solving ability, which make her a born leader and valuable team member. Her technology-rich approach to design makes her an expert on complex cultural and institutional projects, including the Baltimore Design School, Baltimore Museum of Art, The Centre at 10 East North Avenue, and the Niarchos Parkway Film Center. Katherine received her Masters of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis, cum laude. She is an adjunct professor at the Maryland Institute College of Art, and chairs the American Institute of Architects, Baltimore Lecture Series.
Keith Peiffer, RA, LEED AP BD+C joined Ziger/Snead in 2012, and is an engaged and involved architect who values the impact of design research on evolving the profession and the built environment. His professional work includes design, documentation, and construction administration of institutional and commercial projects including the Center for Parks & People and the Ivy Hotel. Keith received his Master of Science from the University of Michigan. He is an adjunct professor at the Maryland Institute College of Art, serves on the board for the Mount Clare Christian School (MCCS), and has been a committee member of the American Institute of Architects, Baltimore Lecture Series.
Will Rohde, RA, LEED AP joins the Associate team with more than ten years of experience. He is recognized for combining managerial efficiency with a holistic approach to design. His project highlights include the Friends School of Baltimore Performing Arts Center, the Baltimore Food Hub, and the Maryland Institute College of Art Fred Lazarus IV Center Annex & Bridge Connector. Will graduated from the Cooper Union School of Architecture, where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture.
