Honeywell has turned a wind turbine inside out! $8,500-10,000 gets you a slightly menacing looking but super efficient wind turbine that gathers power using a system of magnets and statues surrounding an outer ring where the blade speed is fastest. This configuration eliminates mechanical resistance addressing many of the issues associated with small wind turbines namely size, noise, vibration and electrical output.
